This series of articles will delve into the two prevailing schools of thought on how to build fitness for endurance sports. The aim is to explain the different approaches, understand their applications, compare them, and provide insight into what might suit you, your objectives, and your lifestyle.

The aim isn’t to find one definitive answer and solution for training, but to provide a balanced overview of what can be done, how you can apply it and elements that you should think about when planning your training.
